Ward C Stakeholders’ Meeting Signals Renewed Commitment to Road Rehabilitation, Community Development



Ward C in Ikorodu West LCDA today hosted a stakeholders’ meeting that brought together community leaders, residents, and key representatives of the local government in a renewed demonstration of collective commitment to grassroots development.

The meeting, led by the Councillor representing Ward C, Hon. Ganiyu Anifiwose,Hon Adewale Salisu, Hon Tunji Akinola ,provided an opportunity for residents and community stakeholders to deliberate on pressing issues affecting the ward, while also highlighting the administration’s ongoing efforts toward improving infrastructure and the welfare of residents.

Addressing the gathering, Hon. Anifiwose appealed to residents to remain calm and patient, assuring them that the Executive Chairman of Ikorodu West LCDA has committed to the rehabilitation and repair of the Total–Ojokoro Road and Ajose Road, two important routes within the community.

He stressed that the proposed interventions reflect the administration’s responsiveness to the concerns of residents and its determination to address infrastructural challenges across the council area.

The meeting was attended by the Supervisor for Environment, Hon. Adewale Salisu, Ward leaders, and Chairmen of various Community Development Associations (CDAs), among other community stakeholders.

In an interview after the meeting, Hon. Ganiyu Anifiwose highlighted some of the notable achievements recorded under the present administration, urging residents of Ward C to continue to support, cooperate with, and constructively engage the council leadership.

He noted that sustainable development at the grassroots requires a strong partnership between government and the people, stressing that the concerns of residents remain central to the administration’s development agenda.

The Ward C stakeholders’ meeting therefore served not only as a platform for dialogue but also as a reaffirmation of the administration’s commitment to listening to the people, responding to community needs, and delivering meaningful infrastructural development across Ward C and the wider Ikorodu West LCDA.

With the proposed rehabilitation of the Total–Ojokoro and Ajose roads, residents are hopeful that the intervention will bring significant relief to motorists, commuters, businesses, and communities that depend on the roads daily.
