It was indeed a great week for the residents of Bamidele/Laditi and Fagbenro, as the Executive Chairman of Ikorodu West LCDA, Honorable Sulaimon Kazeem Olanrewaju S.K.O (FCA, FCTI) hosted the Stakeholders/Community Engagement On 114 Roads.
As directed by the Lagos state Governor, Mr. Babajide Olushola Sanwo-Olu that local council chairmen in Lagos state should develop their councils and rehabilitate at least Two (2) community roads in their jurisdiction/ward which will not be less than 350 meters.
Honorable Sulaimon Kazeem Olanrewaju has took a bold step and have decided to commence the construction of Bamidele/Laditi and Fagbenro roads on Monday 27th May 2024 as part of the 114 road construction in Lagos state.
In his word during the stakeholders meeting, chairman stated that funding of the project is from the local government purse not from the state government account but monitored by the state government.
He also advised the residents of the community to cooperate with the contractors to achieve the goal together because “Idagba soke ipinle Eko, Ajumose wa ni”.
The executive chairman promised that divided of democracy is still coming on the way.
OWUTU online gathered that one of the residents, Abayomi said “As you know, this road is a long-awaited dream for our community, and we are thrilled that it has finally become a reality.
The road is supposed to have made a significant impact on our lives, as it has improved our access to essential services and opportunities. It has made transportation difficult for our people and made movement more difficult for people but all has becomes a thing of past.
We are grateful for S.K.O's leadership and dedication in making this project a reality. The construction of this road will truly be a game-changer for our community, and we cannot thank you enough for your efforts.
Once again, thank you for all that you have done for us. We appreciate your hardwork and commitment to improving our community, and we look forward to continuing to work with you in the future.
