Hon. Sulaimon Kazeem Olanrewaju Strengthens Grassroots Welfare as Ikorodu West LCDA Successfully Flags Off Project S.K.O

In a remarkable display of leadership and commitment to social welfare, Ikorodu West Local Council Development Area (LCDA) has officially launched Project S.K.O (Special Kare for the Old), a people-oriented initiative designed to improve the lives of elderly residents across the council area.

The successful flag-off ceremony, which also featured the presentation of ATM cards to beneficiaries, took place at the Council Secretariat amidst an atmosphere of joy, gratitude, and renewed hope.

Under the leadership of the Executive Chairman, Hon. (Otunba) Sulaimon Kazeem Olanrewaju FCA, FCTI, popularly known as Eleyinju Anu, the initiative represents another step in fulfilling promises of inclusive governance and grassroots development.

The event attracted community stakeholders, political leaders, beneficiaries, and residents who gathered to witness what many described as a significant moment in the history of welfare and social intervention within Ikorodu West LCDA.

For many of the elderly beneficiaries, the event was more than a government program  it was a reminder that their years of service, sacrifice, and contributions to society have not gone unnoticed. Smiles, excitement, and heartfelt appreciation filled the venue as beneficiaries received support designed to ease daily challenges and improve their quality of life.

Project S.K.O was established with a clear vision: ensuring that senior citizens are cared for and supported while promoting dignity and inclusion among elderly members of the community. The accompanying ATM card presentation further demonstrates a structured and transparent approach to delivering benefits directly to intended recipients.

Speaking through his actions and continued community-driven initiatives, Hon. Otunba Sulaimon Kazeem Olanrewaju has continued to reinforce his administration's focus on policies that touch lives at the grassroots level. Residents and observers noted that the initiative aligns with the chairman's commitment to compassionate leadership and sustainable community development.

Many residents who attended the ceremony described the program as more than a welfare intervention, calling it a practical demonstration of governance that directly impacts people.

As Ikorodu West continues on its development journey, Project S.K.O stands as another milestone and a reflection of an administration seeking to ensure that no segment of society  especially the elderly  is left behind.
