Ikorodu West Local Council Development Area witnessed a historic and transformative moment as the administration of the Executive Chairman, Honourable Sulaimon Kazeem Olanrewaju (SKO), officially kicked off the first phase of its landmark educational support initiative.
The programme, designed to strengthen learning conditions across public primary schools, featured the distribution of brand-new school bags, classroom chairs, and tables to every public primary school within the LCDA. This bold step underscores the administration’s unwavering commitment to improving basic education and creating a more conducive learning environment for pupils.
The distribution exercise commenced at Ipakodo Primary School, Ebute, where pupils and teachers warmly received the educational materials with excitement and gratitude. From there, the team moved seamlessly across the wards, extending the initiative to C&S Primary School 1 and C&S Primary School 2.
The exercise was well-coordinated and executed smoothly, reflecting careful planning and effective grassroots engagement by the council leadership. Parents, educators, and community stakeholders applauded the initiative, describing it as timely, impactful, and people-oriented.
This first phase of the educational support programme marks yet another significant stride by the SKO administration toward repositioning public education in Ikorodu West and reaffirming its promise to invest in the future of the younger generation.
As the initiative continues, residents remain optimistic that more people-centered projects will follow, further solidifying Ikorodu West LCDA as a model for sustainable development and responsive governance.
