On the 23rd of October, 2024, the Executive Chairman of Ikorodu West LCDA, Hon. Sulaimon Kazeem Olanrewaju, FCA-FCTI, welcomed the Governance Advisory Council (GAC) Members for a mid-term project inspection and assessment tour at the Council Secretariat.
Led by the dynamic Senator Musiliu Obanikoro, the GAC Members were impressed by the significant progress and various projects being implemented by the current administration in infrastructure, health, education, human capital development, youth empowerment, and more. Senator Obanikoro encouraged the Chairman to continue the hard work and dedication for the benefit of the residents.
Mr. Moshood Mayegun, Vice Chairman of our State Party, expressed appreciation for the Chairman's hospitality during the visit and emphasized the importance of collaboration between all stakeholders for the progress of Ikorodu West and the entire division.
Alhaji Ridwan Aleshinloye commended Executive Chairman SKO for his outstanding performance on numerous projects and urged continued collaboration among legislators and executives to achieve even greater results.
Barrister Fariu Akodu, former Permanent Secretary, highlighted the importance of listening to the needs of the community and urged cooperation between the Council and local leaders for successful outcomes.
The traditional leaders, including His Royal Majesty Oba (Engr) Bashir Aremu Shotonwa, Sekumade of Ipakodo kingdom and Baale Aluko, expressed their support for the Chairman's efforts and called for continued development in the area.
Prince Jamiu Adio Saka, speaking on behalf of Ikorodu West Party leaders, reiterated their full cooperation with the Chairman and emphasized the need for empowerment initiatives in Ikorodu West, he implored the members to move round Ikorodu West and see that more local government is really needed.
Representatives from market women, religious leaders, and youth organizations also voiced their support for the Chairman's youth-friendly initiatives and community engagement efforts.
Overall, the visit showcased the dedication and progress of the current administration in Ikorodu West LCDA, with a strong focus on community feedback and collaboration for continued improvement.
