Thousands Benefited, as Lagos state launches Alaafia Eko Medical Outreach

The  multi purpose and modern day event center at Ikorodu West LCDA, was filled to capacity, yesterday, Thursday, 29th May, 2024 as people from near and far places stormed the premises of the local council to benefit from the  medical outreach, an innitiative of Lagos state government tagged ' Alaafia Eko' 

The innitiative was launches in all local council in Lagos to provide medical benefits for the Lagosians.

The executive chairman of Ikorodu West LCDA, Hon Sulaimon Kazeem Olanrewaju and other key officiaol of the council were physically on ground to make sure that all went well.

Some of the activities of the medical outreach was general checkup, diagnosis, medical advise and given  out drugs to the multiple participants.

  

However, the purpose 'Alaafia Eko' is not about healthcare alone but was   also organized for the Welfare of Lagos state residents, especially, the  grassroots to  have free access to medical checkup in Lagos state.

 

The program was well organized and monitored to make sure everybody are well taken care of, People were attended to by Certified Medical practitioners.

 

OWUTU Online however, gathered from one of beneficiary of  the Medical Outreach  identified  as Dr Olusesi.

 

In his words, he  said  “This  is what the great people of Lagos state have been waiting for, for  a very long time because health is much more important to everybody, Either you eat Or not, weather rich Or poor. It's only people with  good health would able to think well and reason constructively.

 

He said further, We have so many mental disorder cases around Lagos and in Nigeria due to lack of facilities and  fast access to medical attention but through this program, all would be a things of past.

 

As you can see now, a lot of people have  benefited from  “Alaafia Eko” medical outreach and also have the opportunity to register their families as Lagos state Government is subsidizing healthcare in Lagos.

Some of the beneficiary who also spoke to us on condition of anonymity  launded Hon Kazeem Olanrewaju for his good leadership style, he was described as politicians who has the love of his people at heart.
